Red with white spots on a beige stalk, this fairy-tale mushroom is a seasonal motif seen on many autumn decorations. It looks like the fly agaric, which is one to admire in the woods and never to pick.
The chart is 16 stitches by 14 rows in four colours. The white spots are small blocks of two stitches over two rows, easier to work than single isolated stitches.
Use it on a cushion cover, a storage basket or a woodland-themed blanket square. A round of single crochet all around the motif gives it a neat finish.
