The robin is the garden bird above all others, and its orange breast makes it recognisable in just a few stitches. Our chart shows it in profile, facing left, with a hazel-brown back, a sand belly and two thin legs.
The design is 16 stitches by 15 rows in five colours. The breast and back share each row: keep both yarns active and the ecru background waiting on the wrong side.
It looks lovely on a decorative bird feeder, a winter cushion or a card for bird lovers. The legs can also be embroidered in backstitch at the end.
